How to Read a Crypto Swap Quote: Fees, Routes and Minimum Received
By Oddrix ·
A good swap interface shows you everything before you sign. Here is what each part of a quote means, using the fields you see on Oddrix Swap.
Expected output
The amount you should receive if the price does not move. It already has every fee taken out, including the Oddrix fee.
Minimum received
The least you will get after slippage. If the market moves further than this, the transaction fails rather than filling at a worse price.
Provider and route
Which protocol fills the trade (THORChain, Jupiter or LI.FI) and, where reported, which pools or bridges the route passes through. More hops is not bad in itself, as aggregators split trades to get better prices.
Interface fee
Oddrix charges 0.5% on swaps, built into the quote. On THORChain the fee is part of the memo and paid by the protocol. On Jupiter it is a platform fee in the same transaction. On LI.FI it is an integrator fee, when active.
Network (gas) fee
Paid to the blockchain, not to Oddrix. Your wallet shows the final amount before you approve.
Liquidity and outbound fees
THORChain charges a liquidity fee to the pool and an outbound fee to send the result to your destination chain. Both are shown in the route details.
Estimated time
Same-chain swaps take seconds. Cross-chain swaps wait for confirmations on the source chain, so Bitcoin routes can take 10–30 minutes.
Approvals
For ERC-20 tokens your wallet may ask for an approval first, which lets the router spend that token. Approve only the amount you need where possible, and only for contracts you recognise.
FAQ
Is the Oddrix fee added on top of the quote?
No. The 0.5% interface fee is already included in the expected output shown.
Why are there two transactions?
ERC-20 swaps sometimes need an approval transaction before the swap itself. Native coins like ETH or SOL do not.
Not financial advice. Crypto is volatile and you can lose money. Oddrix never holds your funds or keys.
